The Problem of Life Without God

The Problem of Life Without God What if God did not truly exist? What would be the problem? We will deal with that issue now. What if there were no God and no such thing as the wages of sin? What if we lived forever, and what if that eternal life was without God? Would we be in a sort of paradise? My answer is this: I would prefer death rather than live in such a world. Let me explain. The problem with the absence of God is that there would be no objective standard of right and wrong. Right and wrong would  be mere objects of personal tastes or by-products of conditioning  or socio-biological evolution. In other words, all our actions  would be permissible depending on what society's fickle  sensibilities could bear. Without objective standards, who is to say what Adolph Hitler did to the Jews in World War II has any more or less value than the work of Mother Teresa in India? This is a question of morality and there can be no morals in a world without a  moral giver. The result w

The Origin of Angels

The Origin of Angels Like all other creatures, God made the angels. The Bible's opening paragraph unapologetically states: "In the beginning. God created." (Genesis 1:1). The Book of Colossians gives further clarity when it says, "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him" (Colossians 1:16). Light in the Darkness

Light in the Darkness  When these signs (pestilences) begin to show the bible tells us that our Redemption is near.  But what do we do in the meantime?  How should Christians respond in the meantime?  Christians can respond in two ways:       I. By being the light and       II. By praying for the government of the day.  I. Be the Light 1. Light Reveals itself and its contents .  Nobody has to do a field study to find a light. As you turn in the direction of the light it is seen; or better still, the light would radiate all around you even before you turn, light reveals itself. And just as on drawing close to a light bulb its filament, glass mound, and metal contacts, through which the electrical current flows, are seen, so in coming into contact with a true Christian, Jesus Christ, the One who engenders light and life is seen and felt.  A Christian should so expose Christ in his life, that a person could not live with him a week w
